Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) & Adapters:

Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) are widely used in designs to obtain regulated DC output voltage from an unregulated DC/AC input voltage. SMPS circuit integrates electronic power supply and switching regulators for switching the electrical power from one form to another efficiently. These power supply circuits are available in different topologies, like DC to DC converter, AC to DC converter, fly back converter and forward converter. Power Management ICs:

BLDC Motors:

BLDC motors are also are preferred and very safe to use in flammable environments because of its brushless design unlike the common DC motors that include brushes and are prone to create spark.  A simple BLDC fan construction includes following components SMPS, Micro-controller, Inverter and a BLDC motor. BLDC Fan Working Principle: when the fan is turned on using a remote, SMPS converts AC supply to DC and the micro-controller sends signal to the inverter which in turn drives the BLDC motor.
